Paper Abstract
A 5 page paper discussing the authors’ use of metaphor, irony, definition and biased diction in describing the practice of “wilding” and the influence that irresponsible factions of the entertainment industry have on the growth of teen violence. Wilding is evil for evil’s sake committed by teens, often but not necessarily undertaken as part of gang initiation. Baker and Gore (1989) have made sound and valid arguments in their article, and ones that have the potential of having wide impact. They present valid argument that is highly specific yet can be tailored to the needs and perspectives of many readers. Bibliography lists 1 source.
