Study #1 - Baxter Balances Work and Life
Baxter Balances Work and Life was
written to depict the organization, Baxter International’s CEO, Harry M. Jansen
Kraemer, Jr. and his success at balancing work with his personal life. The
article goes on to say that even though Kraemer may, on “any given workday”,
stay at “home to take care of his infant son. Or you may see him taking his
daughter to school or coaching her softball team after school”, he still finds
the time to put in 80 hours of work per week and generate target earnings every
quarter. The article suggests that balancing work with life is beneficial to a
company’s welfare. The more balanced employees are, the more productive they
are at work, and therefore the more a company can earn.
