I joined St. Anthony’s Higher
Secondary School as a teacher after completing my education. This was my first job as a teacher, and I
don’t have any prior experience in handling a class. The Principal of school leads me to 12th
STD classroom, for my first class on the first day. When I first walked in to
the classroom I went with a slight air of trepidation. The principal introduced me to the students
and leave to me to proceed. The students
looked at me from head to toe. I was
nervous and I started with a brief introduction session and straight away
entered into the subject. All together
because of my nervousness and I could express what I intended to communicate
and students were distracted and they were not listening to what I am talking
in the class. They made some innocent
comments that might appear to be harmless, yet carry great weight. And in that moment the battle was drawn. They knew, without me saying …
