The global marketplace has an
evolving impact on the human resource management in the United States. Changes in
technology and strategic management have contributed to the changes that have
already occurred. Many companies have adopted flexible work schedules, creative
benefits packages, and various forms of compensation to attract and maintain
employees. Human resource management will change rapidly over the next ten
years to accommodate workers who are better at leveraging their resources to
locate better employment options, leading to a decrease in the amount of time
employees spend working at a particular company. In order for companies to
remain competitive and keep valuable employees many changes to the traditional
human resource management guidelines will need to be made.
