This paper discusses the growing
importance of human resource management and focuses on different roles and
duties assigned to HR managers. The American workforce is unique in its
characteristics and is therefore more complex than workers in other countries.
This distinctive and diverse workforce requires a very well organized and
highly sophisticated Human resource management team and therefore familiarizing
the HR personnel with current issues of importance is vital for successful
