PROBLEMS OF THE THIRD WORLD
COUNTRIES
One of the challenges facing the third world nations is the
mismanagement of resources. This factor has been outlined as the key problem in
realizations of the millennium goals. Africa, where we find many of these third
world countries, has remains undeveloped due to this factor despite her having
lot of resources. For example, democratic republic of Congo in Africa is rich
in valuable mineral like gold, but the nation has witnessed the benefit of
resources where a corruption has paralyzed the trade. World Bank (2008)
